Austin’s patio game is the best I’ve seen anywhere on the planet. My favorite setups are the ones where a permanent structure housing a brewery is surrounded by huge yard and collection of food trucks. We went in search of a food truck that had just moved to a new location and we found ourselves at Meanwhile brewing. Wow, this place was so amazing with a shady patio that could comfortably entertain hundreds of people, yet we had not even heard of it or seen it on “the best patio” lists… There really are too many cool places in Austin!

Dough Boys – Wood Fired Pizza Food Truck Austin
The pizza pie was solid and the ingredients were top quality. Dough Boys features a thin-crust style pizza with a softer, less crispy crust cooked in a wood-fired oven.
Distant Relatives BBQ Food Truck Austin
We ordered 1/2 pound of the brisket and an order of their pickles. The brisket was top-notch, but be sure to get a bit of sauce to make it amazing. The pickles were not at all what I was expecting, since they consisted of carrots, onions and jalapeno’s, but they were flavored nicely and were very fragrant.
Besame Ice Cream Food Truck Austin
Besame makes fresh ice-cream EVERY DAY and it really tasted awesome. I ended up with a two flavor cup of mint and chocolate, and the combo was perfect. You can taste the quality ingredients and the mint tasted like a walk in the garden.
